Charlene Scott, MS, LPC, NCC, ACS
Psychotherapist, Clinical Director

Looking for a therapist can feel very intimidating, confusing, or even frustrating. You want a treatment that works, but also someone you feel you can really relate to. I offer evidence-based treatments delivered in a real and down-to earth style. ... Click here for more/less...

In a space that feels safe, warm and accepting, we will work as a team to identify your goals and plan a path for change. You will learn practical skills to help you handle the painful thoughts, feelings, and self-defeating habits that keep you feeling stuck.

I specialize in anxiety, trauma and eating disorders using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and exposure. I am also excited to offer Animal-Assisted Therapy! Studies show that the comfort of a therapy dog increases the effectiveness of treatment for clients of all ages. Jules has a sweet personality that brings big smiles to everyone she meets.

Talking and insight are helpful, but often not enough for lasting change. I believe in an approach where you can actively participate, leave each session feeling empowered to practice new skills, and take action on what is most important to you. We can work together to develop the tools to overcome obstacles so you can create a rich and meaningful life!

Charlene is available by appointment Tuesday-Friday. She offers evening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

through the use of genuineness, warmth, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I have a diverse range of experience including the areas of: Autism; Domestic Violence; Sexual Abuse/Assault; Childhood Abuse and Neglect; Childhood PTSD/Trauma; and Loss, Attachment and Separation issues in relation to foster and adoption. I primarily work with women, children and adolescents.

I utilize a variety of creative therapeutic interventions. I follow strength-based and empowerment models to create a safe environment which promotes growth, an increased level of self-awareness and the development of healthy coping and problem solving skills.

Children often have difficulty feeling comfortable in traditional talk therapy and can find therapy intimidating or "boring." I use creative approaches such as art therapy, journaling, walk & talk sessions, bibliotherapy, therapeutic games and play therapy. Parental roles and expectations are discussed and agreed upon with the child/adolescent.

Jessica is available by appointment Monday-Friday. Evening hours are available.

My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship with you where you feel safe to explore and become more aware of the issues that might be holding you back from a more fulfilling life. I use an interpersonal approach to therapy, building new relationships that help you to grow and heal from past traumas or difficult experiences. I believe that therapy should be a joint process, meaning that you shouldn’t feel alone as we work together toward change.

I have long specialized in children’s and women’s issues, particularly with adolescent girls and with self-harm behaviors, eating disorders, trauma, and rape crisis. I have also worked with couples and families for many years, using feedback to help people communicate more effectively and solve problems together.

In addition to being a therapist, I am a college professor, which allows me to continue learning about the latest research and techniques. I have also written a book based on my experience and research called “Scars”, which focuses on creative approaches such as using art and music to address self-harm behaviors.

Sara is available by appointment weekday evenings.
